The Goody Summer Waves Roller Project: Have You Ever Used Foam Curlers Before? - Makeup and Beauty Blog
The other solar day I realized that in all my years of experimenting with different hair styling doodads, I've never once used foam curlers. No detail reason why. I think I just roughshod in love with my curling iron at a young age.
But since I've been striking the curling fe a lot lately, now might be a good time to requite foam curlers a endeavour.
I tin can remember my granny rolling foam curlers into her wet pilus before going to bed, then I plan to do the same with the Goody Summer Waves Rollers ($x for xv rollers) some time this calendar week. They're designed to build large, loose beachy waves instead of dumbo, tight curls.
I did a scrap of research online and came up with the following steps to hopefully make The Goody Summer Waves Roller Project a curly success. 🙂
1. Work in sections
At the scalp, collect well-nigh a two-inch lock of pilus in one of your hands (measured about 2 inches along the scalp, as opposed to the length of the hair shaft).
2. Make up one's mind on the size of the curls you desire
The volume of hair you wrap around each curler determines how tight or loose the curls are. For tight curls, wrap less hair; for loose curls, wrap more.
3. Coat hair with a styling product (optional)
This seems to be an optional stride. I'll probably use a soft concur hairspray, since my hair commonly needs the help of a styling product to continue it under control. I've also read that a lite application of mousse works well.
4. Rolling, rolling, rolling…
Whorl each lock of pilus tightly into the curler and roll up (ultimately, you desire the roller to look thinner in the middle than information technology looks at the sides). When y'all're happy with the amount of hair you have wrapped around the curler, snap it into place.
For more book and lift at the roots, roll the curler inward toward your scalp, as opposed to outward (away from your scalp).
v. Dry hair completely
Since a blow dryer would defeat the purpose of trying to give my hair a break from heat styling, I program to sleep in these overnight (like granny used to).
6. Exist conscientious when you remove the curlers
In one case your pilus is dry, slowly and advisedly remove each curler past unsnapping information technology, and so slowly unrolling it out of your hair.
If all goes well, that should exercise it. I should be able to just run my fingers through my pilus to loosen my new beachy waves/curls (wish me luck!). 🙂
